1. brick and mortar- refers to aprocess a building for operations.


2. upload-the sending of data from a local system from a remote system.


3. hypertext-text displayed on a screen.


4. url-a websites location.


5. virus-software programs designed to interfere with computer operations deliberatly.


6. hyperlink- referance on a document to an external piece of information.


7. browser-software appkication for retrieving, presenting, and traversing information resourses on the World Wide Web.


8. chatroom-primarily used bu mass media to describe any form of sunchronous conferencing.


9. login-the process by which individual access to a computer system is controlled by identification of the user using credentials provided by the user.


10. logon-a website that allows you to have a user ID and a password to get in.

11. hypermedia-computer-based information retrieval system that enables a user to gain or provide access to text, audio and video recordings, photographs, and compter graphics related to a particular subject.


12. cookie-a small piece of text stored on a user's computer by a web browser.


13. internet-a global system of interconnected computer networks that user the standardized Internet Protocol Suite to serve billions of users world wide.


14. netiquette-a set of social conventions that facilitate interactions over networks, ranging from Usenet and mailing lists to blog forums.


15. web address-the URL on a page of a website.


16. denial of service-an attemp to make a computer resource unavailable to its intended user.


17. internet explorer-a series of graphical web browsers developed by Microsoft and included as part of the Microsoft Windows line of operating systems developed in 1995.


18. mozilla firefox-a free and open sourse web browser desended from the Mozilla Application Suite and managed by Mozilla Corporation.


19. web page-a docuent or resource of information that is suitable for the World Wide Web and can be accessed through a web browser and displayed on a computer screen.


20. dot com-a company that does most of its work on the Internet, usually through a website that uses a popular top-level domain , ".com."
